What does "flex" mean?
To “flex” means to show off something, often in a way that’s meant to impress others. It’s all about displaying your success, whether that’s through material possessions, skills, or achievements. You might hear someone say, “That’s a flex” when someone is subtly (or not so subtly) showing off something you’re proud of.
For example, if someone buys a new car and posts about it on Instagram, people might say they’re “flexing” their wealth. Or if someone casually mentions they just got a promotion at work, that could be considered a flex. Sometimes it’s humble, but other times it can come across as bragging, depending on the context.
On social media, flexing is common, where people highlight their vacations, outfits, accomplishments, or new purchases. It’s a way to show off success or status, often for the sake of impressing others.
