“Mid” means average, meh, or just okay, not good or bad. It’s used to say something doesn’t live up to the hype or expectations.

For example, if someone tries a new restaurant that’s been getting a lot of buzz but the food is underwhelming they’ll say “That place was mid”. It’s a way to express disappointment or indifference when something isn’t as good as it was made out to be.
